Joseph Nye, the former Assistant Secretary of Defense and former Dean of Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, offers sharp insights into the way nations take and cede power. But that’s not why He’s being featured here on our blog.
You may find the topic of his Presentation to be captivating, but I hope you find his adroit use of the Music Stand off to his left to be compelling. I often suggest using a Lectern or Stand, music or otherwise, as a Convenient place to work from. It can also serve as an ‘anchor‘ for you, a security blanket of sorts.
Leave your notes, walk away, tip-toe back, check them out, refresh your memory, then lead your audience in a new direction with confidence. Works well.
