It’s true, Speedy Speakers Lose! Why is that? Well, when You talk too fast, which is a trait of many Speakers, You can have a negative impact on your audience. This is a habit that’s usually the result of Stress. Unfortunately, it can act as a “wedge” between you and your audience which is not your intention. So there you are, up in front of a group of people, prepared to earn their Support, and they’re gathered together to hear your Proposal. They might want to support you and your Proposal…But,
1. The Audience is having difficulty getting emotionally invested in your Presentation. Your Support is in jeopardy and that’s not your Goal…is it?
2. When the Audience is Distracted by your Delivery, they become confused, and completely miss the essence of your Speech or Presentation.
